Attorneys Paulette and Robert Gray formed GRAY & GRAY LLC in 2014 after each practicing on their own for many years. Together, Paulette and Robert bring nearly 60 years of experience to their clients, and offer a vast knowledge of many different areas of the law.
Paulette Gray has focused her practice solely on family law since her graduation from John Marshall Law School in 1996. Paulette worked in a large Chicago family law firm before moving her practice and family to McHenry County, Illinois where she worked for a family law firm. In 2010, Paulette opened her own firm and in 2014 formed a partnership with Robert Gray. Paulette is a Past President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (Illinois Chapter), past Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Section Council, and past President of the McHenry County Bar Association.
Robert Gray has focused his practice on family law, personal injury, malpractice, and civil litigation for nearly 30 years. Robert worked in Chicago with a legal services provider, and moved his practice and family to Crystal Lake, Illinois when he accepted a position with one of the largest firms in McHenry County. Robert opened his own firm in 2011, and formed a partnership in 2014 with Paulette Gray. Robert is a superb litigator, and has taken numerous cases to trial with successful outcomes for his clients. Robert is well respected by his peers and by judges.
Paulette and Robert both practice in McHenry, Lake, Kane, Boone, DuPage, Winnebago and Cook counties.

Paulette M. Gray

Paulette Gray, a Past President of the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, has limited her practice to family law for nearly 30 years. By exclusively handling family law cases, Paulette is better able to focus on family law issues, and is more familiar with ancillary issues than lawyers who do not limit their practice to this area.
Additionally, Paulette has the highest rating (“AV”) afforded lawyers for legal ability and ethics in the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory.
Paulette’s knowledge and experience in family law matters, along with her direct, hands-on approach to family law cases, has earned her a reputation as one of the top family law attorneys in Illinois. Paulette works primarily in McHenry County and the surrounding counties (including Lake, Kane, Boone, Cook, DuPage, and Winnebago counties).
Paulette is active in various bar associations and professional groups. In addition to serving as President of the Illinois AAML Chapter, she also serves on a number of committees and is a frequent lecturer and author. Paulette previously served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association from 2008-09 as well as the President of the McHenry County Bar Association.
Paulette is also active in her community. She currently serves on the Board of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County.

Robert L. Gray

Attorney Robert L. Gray has limited his practice to family law, personal injury, and civil litigation for nearly 30 years. He offers a unique approach to the practice of law, and brings years of litigation experience to the practice. Robert’s knowledge of multiple areas of law, along with his litigation skills, make him a worthy and respected adversary.
